Choa Chu Kang death: Chinese national arrested for alleged murder of his wife
Murder at Choa Chu Kang Avenue 2
Singapore – Police received a call for assistance at Block 296A, Choa Chu Kang Avenue 2 on Thursday at about 4am. Upon Police’s arrival, a 41-year-old woman was found lying unconscious in a unit of the said block. She was subsequently pronounced dead by SCDF paramedics at 4.32am.
The crime took place on the 11th floor of Block 296A, Choa Chu Kang Avenue 2.
A 58-year-old man has been arrested in relation to the case that has been classified as Murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries the death penalty. Investigations are ongoing. According to a statement from the police on Aug 8, the suspect will be charged in court on Aug 9 at 9am.
Neighbours said that police have attended to previous incidents of domestic disputes at the unit.
