US Vice President Joe Biden arrived in Singapore on Thursday for a visit in which he is expected discuss trade ties and ways to calm regional maritime tensions. Biden’s plane touched down at a military air base in the city-state following an earlier visit to India.

President Barack Obama’s number two is scheduled to meet with the country’s top leaders, including Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and modern Singapore’s founding father Lee Kuan Yew on Friday. He will also hold talks with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who is visiting Singapore on the same day as part of a swing to Southeast Asia.

2. Spotted the entire entourage with Joe Biden during lunch break at Plaza Singapura
So I was waiting at the traffic junction with my colleague, Lloyd after our lunch at 4fingers Crispy Chicken (review up soon) when this traffic police on his bike suddenly dashed in front of the red light and started yelling: “DO NOT CROSS THE ROAD!”.
All of us were stunned thinking that he was crazy or something – then we spotted the entire entourage of cars behind him. There were like 5 range rovers, sedan cars, traffic police in their cars and motorbikes and a couple of ambulances trailing after the main cars.
Till now, both Lloyd and I are still in disbelief that we didn’t think of taking a video. ARGH!
