A poolside party at a condominium ended in tragedy when a woman drowned.
The 21-year-old Vietnamese woman had been drinking with more than 10 local and expat friends at Amber Park in Marine Parade. She went for a dip in the two metre-deep pool but had difficulty swimming. Fellow partygoers noticed she was submerged and dived in to rescue her.
A security guard, who asked not to be named, said her friends ran to the guardhouse to ask for help to resuscitate her and to call an ambulance.
