Updated from this article which I posted yesterday:
Boy, 8, who fell from Tampines flat had bag, savings and family photo on him
A bag, a smashed piggy bank, and a family photograph were found on the body of the eight year-old boy who was found lying at the foot of Tampines Street 91, block 934 on Sunday morning. Lim Jia En’s body had been found by residents at 12.10am in the morning with his belongings scattered about him.
According to a report on Lianhe Zaobao and omy.sg, Lim, his parents, his elder sister of about ten years of age and newborn baby brother had lived in the same block where he was found. One resident of the block who lives on the second floor said that his brother had heard a loud bang at around midnight. At about 1.10am , the cries of a woman in Mandarin were heard.
According to the family’s neighbours, the boy seemed to have been on good terms with his family prior to his death. A Singapore Civil Defence Force spokesman said they received a call from a member of the public around 12.16 am and an ambulance was sent down to Block 934, Tampines Street 91.
Police have classified his death as unnatural and investigations are ongoing.
