I missed out on the live streaming of Singapore Hawker Heroes as I was celebrating my 3rd year anniversary with the bf but I guess the full version will surface online somewhere soon. Anyway..the results are in and..the overall winner are the SINGAPORE’S HAWKER HEROES!

Singapore Hawker Heroes – The Results

So if you’re still lost at who Gordon Ramsay was competing with, here are the 3 finalists again:

1. 328 Katong Laksa
Accidental hawker and her son sells a not-entirely-Peranakan version of Katong laksa, and it’s better than most

2. Jumbo Seafood Restaurant

Hawkers try to recreate this expensive dish; Jumbo takes in the feedback and makes it a red-hot dish

3. Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice
The chicken rice stall-turned-chain does not scrimp on its ingredients and labour

Over the course of 2 days, from July 5-6, Chef Ramsay will spend time with each of the three hawkers to learn their signature dishes.The Michelin star chef will then put his own flavours into the dishes and go against the chosen three at the final showdown event held at Newton Food Centre on Sunday, July 7.

Yepp, and as mentioned, the winners are..SINGAPORE’S HAWKER HEROES! 2v1

• Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice – WON Gordon Ramsay
• 328 Katong Laska – WON Gordon Ramsay
• Jumbo Chilli Crab – LOST to Gordon Ramsay

I love Gordon Ramsay but really..these Singapore hawkers with years of experience under their belt can never be beat. So CONGRATULATIONS!
Well with the exception of Jumbo’s Chilli Crab though ;p
