Crash at car wash: Cabby and man die on the spot, SUV driver arrested
A driver lost control of an SUV and crashed into two taxis at a carwash centre at Woodlands Road, killing two and injuring three others.
According to a report in Shin Min Daily News and omy.sg, the incident occurred on Saturday at 3.20am in the morning. Two men, 46-year-old taxi driver He Jixiang and 29-year-old Malaysian Chen Deqiang were killed in the crash, while three others were hurt and taken to Khoo Teck Phuat Hospital.
Mr Chen’s colleagues revealed that he had been living in Johor Bahru, Malaysia and had been travelling to Singapore to work every day. His long-time girlfriend lives in Johor Bahru and he had, and he had told his colleagues that he had intended to marry next year.
According to a police spokesperson, the 30-year-old driver of the SUV has been arrested and investigations are ongoing.A witness, Mr Lee, said that an hour before the accident, he had gone to the car wash centre, and had seen Mr Chen chatting and laughing with taxi drivers waiting their turn.

Gosh..really RIP to the 2 unfortunate souls. And meanwhile, I hope they do investigate to find out what exactly happened. No matter what, 2 lives were lost and it is really..really sad.
