Pizza Hut celebrates pasta dedication with Pasta Hut

If you’ve been following me on Facebook, you would have noticed that I recently attended an event hosted by Pizza Hut at City Square Mall like..just now (Friday night)! And to be honest, I just randomly signed up for the event on the Pizza Hut’s Facebook a couple of days ago and was later informed that I was one of the selected few to receive the event invite to their exclusive event! Whee, lucky! ^^
Unfortunately, no other details about the event was revealed so the bf and I were quite curious. Still, the bf and I made our way to Pizza Hut at City Square Mall for the event after work just now, and to our surprise, we saw that Pizza Hut had gone through a name change to..
PASTA HUT!
Wait..wut!?
Nay, not to worry, Pasta Hut is only a temporary name as it will be changed back to Pizza Hut after the 3rd of July.
So what’s going on? Read on to find out more!(:
Once seated, we were given a special menu for today’s event which comprised of the following as seen, and we also got to pick one pasta choice from their Pasta Perfectto selection! It was then, I realized that there were two new Pasta Perfectto selections that I’ve never seen before, namely Baked Penne in Truffle Cream Sauce and Turkey Bacon Aglio Olio so..the bf and I decided to pick one each to try!(:
We were also served a drink each where we took the Berri Sparkles – S$4.20 & Mango Tango – S$4.80.
While waiting for the event to start, we started to rummage through the goodie bag that each of us received upon attending the event. Well..we were curious! XD So first of us, I saw this new Pasta Hut menu as seen below:
This Pasta Hut menu will only be available at Pasta Hut (Pizza Hut) City Square Mall from 29th June 2013 – 2nd July 2013.
Yepp basically..From 29 June till 2nd July, you will get to preview 3 new pasta dishes exclusively at Pasta Hut @ City Square Mall for a limited time only! And the 3 new pasta dishes are:
1. Roasted Chicken Leg Parchment – S$14.90
2. Baked Penne in Truffle Cream Sauce – S$11.90
3. Turkey Bacon Aglio Olio – S$8.90
Best of all..each order of any pasta dish below (including the above 3 new pastas) comes with a FREE personal pan pizza! What a deal right?
Other than that, these are the selected appetizers available at Pasta Hut only from 29 June – 2 July.
But of course, if you really just prefer Pizza Hut’s pizza, they still do have their yummy pizzas available – but the choices are limited(:

Oopsies, and here’s what else was in the goodie bag! All items are sponsored from Barilla, and I also assume Pizza Hut..I mean Pasta Hut uses Barilla pasta(:
We were then treated to a visual feast of all the 12 Pasta Perfectto’s pasta range which as are seen as follows:
1. Beef Lasagna
2. Squid Ink Linguine
3. Seafood Vongole
4. Turkey Bacon Carbonara
5. Traditional Bolognaise Pasta
6. Prawn Aglio Olio
7. Grilled Chicken Parchment Pasta
8. Cheesy Shrooms
9. Spicy Seafood Parchment Pasta
10. Turkey Bacon Aglio Olio [NEW]
11. Baked Penne in Truffle Cream Sauce [NEW]
12. Roasted Chicken Leg Parchment Pasta [NEW]
After that, we had table games to play, but bah, we were pretty hopeless at the games to win the vouchers. Hurhur. Oh and just to mention – there were also other NuffNang blogger and I spotted Daniel Ang (Danielfooddiary.com) as usual. Hehe. And if you were wondering..nope, I’m not under NuffNang as unfortunately WordPress bloggers are unable to join them ;/ Ah well ;p
Our food was finally served starting with the Soup of the Day:
1. Cream of Mushroom
I thought it was rather salty, but generally I love all mushroom soups so I finished the entire thing. Yums!
Next were the 3 appetizers:
2. Cheesy Mussels
Goodness, these were SUPER good! Each bite of the mussels had a layer of cheese and bits of bacon on it. I loveeee it!
2. Criss Cross Fries
This has always been one of my favourite Pizza Hut appetizers so the bf and I wolfed them down. Hehe!
3. Sweet N Spicy Drumlets
I usually prefer Pizza Hut’s Honey Roasted Wings but this was fine too~ Just a tad spicy but it was yummy, juicy and tender!
After awhile, our pastas were served too(: This was the bf’s choice:
1. Turkey Bacon Aglio Olio
He felt that the aglio olio was way too spicy for him as the chefs were really generous with the garlic, black pepper and chili. But then again, he has a low spicy tolerance level so yeah. Feedback from another person who loves spicy food is that it was really good. For myself, I tried a bite too and honestly, I also found it too spicy too! Still, the bf finished everything! XD
2. Baked Penne in Truffle Cream Sauce
This was really good – the pasta was plentiful and so were the ingredients. It’s cheesy, creamy and the truffle cream sauce was delicious! Not bad(:
Ended off the event with another table game, jigsaw puzzles!
