Indonesia public official slaps stewardess for telling him to switch off phone

A public official in Indonesia yelled at an air stewardess and slapped her till she cried, because she had asked him to switch off his phone before a flight on Wednesday evening (Jun 12).

According to Indoboom, Head of the Regional Investment Coordinating Board (BKPMD), Zakaria Umar Hadi, first rebuked the stewardess at Soekarno-Hatta Airport when she politely requested for his phone to be switched off.

The 31-year-old Sriwijaya Airline Stewardess, Nur Febriani, then walked away but Zakaria became very emotional and upset.
One hour later when the plane landed in Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung, Zakaria suddenly slapped and yelled at Febriani.

They were separated by other passengers. Zakaria was escorted off the plane while Febriani ‘just kept crying’.
Febriani has reported the incident to the police.

Wth, even though you’re rich, that DOESN’T mean you have the right to slap people around.
Disgusting behaviour displayed by a government official. Pui
