I heard it on the news and spotted it on STOMP:
Decomposed body of S’porean man believed to be murdered found in JB farm
The decomposed body of a Singaporean man was found in an old palm plantation in Johor Bahru. It is believed that the 82-year-old had been murdered over a dispute with four fishery workers who had brought a woman back to the dormitory.
According to Shin Min Daily News, the man, nicknamed “Ah Pek”, was the landlord. He was last seen on May 3 at 4.30am driving a black Mercedes to a Sungei Tiram farm near Ulu Tiram in Johor Bahru, about an hour’s drive from the Woodlands Checkpoint, when he went missing.
About a month after the incident, around 10am on Sunday morning, the remains were found about 50 metres from the farm’s iron gate. The evening daily reported that the remains were heavily covered with palm leaves, and the bones were scattered around. The Mercedes and his possessions were nowhere to be found.
Mr Zhou Jinfu, 53, said on Sunday night that he had heard his father mention a dispute with buyers of the land. The Police are looking for four men to assist with investigations.
