Cool hubby pins down thief who stole wife’s handbag at Bt. Batok kopitiam

A thief who tried to snatch a woman’s handbag at a coffeeshop in Bukit Batok was pinned down by the victim’s husband and a few passersby. The culprit tried to persuade them to release the grip on him but he was told to be quiet till the police arrived.

STOMPer Big chocolate, who witnessed the incident, said that the victim’s husband was the man who can be seen sitting on the thief in the photos, while holding on to a pole. 

Said the STOMPer:

“A handbag thief was pinned down by the husband of the victim & passerby last Wednesday. A thief took a lady’s unattended handbag in a coffee shop in Bukit Batok East Avenue 4 Block 272. The victim’s husband (wearing blue) didn’t panic or make any noise.

“He pounced on the thief within 4 meters of the incident.

The picture shows how he was pinned with the help of passer-by! He spewed vulgarities at the men on top of him and asked them to release the grip on him, but he was told to shut up until the police arrive.”
