Was invited to the Tim Ho Wan Singapore’s media event on the 10th of April and I was given an opportunity to sample some of the dim sum there and also, to meet the chef in question: Chef Mak Kwai Pui!

I’ve been waiting for it ever since I saw the sign at Plaza Singapura that Tim Ho Wan, the Michelin One Star Dim Sum Restaurant from Hong Kong is going to open an outlet in Singapore!
And finally..the date of launch has been REVEALED!
I’m looking forward to try the Dim Sum when it opens to see how good it is since everyone is like RAVING over it!
But guess what? There won’t JUST be ONE outlet in Singapore..there’ll be TWO soon!(:
The first will be a 80-seat restaurant at The Atrium@Orchard, Plaza Singapura’s new wing while the second will take over the Swensen’s at ERA Centre in Toa Payoh Lorong 6, and is slated to open in the third quarter of the year.
I also read from The Straits Times that there are plans to open SIX outlets in Singapore in total by the end of 2013!

Hi Daniel! I did actually as I just came back from attending the Tim Ho Wan media event just now and had the opportunity to sample all the delicious dim sum. Hehe(: I LOVED the buns and the har gao the most!(:
