Well, the last movie I watched was Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters like exactly a month ago and I haven’t watched any other recent ones yet as I’ve been so busy recently! Hohoho, but I am happy to say that I just watched another movie recently this week!(:
Yepp, as mentioned in my previous blog post earlier in the week HERE, I said that I was invited by omy.sg to a movie preview, so obviously I jumped at the chance to watch it!(:
Ah if you were wondering which movie.. Here it is – with a synopsis, a movie trailer and tidbits for you to check it out!
And yeah, it’s a Korean Thriller– a language and movie genre I’m not really a huge fan of, but you know what?
This movie really impressed me!

Synopsis:
15 years ago, an infamous serial killing case that left 10 women dead shook the nation. Now its statute of limitations is about to expire, and a member of the victim family throws himself off a building in front of the detective Choi who is the primary detective on the case.
2 years later, a man named Lee Du-seok publishes a book titled “Confession of Murder”, claiming his responsibility for the murders that took place 17 years ago. His book becomes a huge success, making him an instant celebrity thanks to his beautiful façade and innately danger that’s associated with his presence. Choi can only watch from the sidelines as his hands are tied, because Lee has been pardoned legally.
The law forgave him, but even after the expiration of statute of limitations, the case is not yet over!

And now moving on to my movie review!
I’m trying my best not to spoil too much of the movie so yes, no spoilers ahead!
Hehe, because I completely ruined the movie for the bf – who didn’t watch it with me that day by telling him the ENTIRE plot. Yes, I do remember the details! But ok promise! No spoilers – I think! Or a leeetttllleeee bit?
P.s it’s rated NC-16 because of the amount of obscenities/foul language used by Jung Jae-Young mainly.
Movie Review
Confession of Murder is the kind of movie that is fitto be categorized as a thriller and most importantly – action movie. And one of the main reasons why is because it is a movie that is SURE to keep you on the edge of the seat at the cinema right from the start and EVEN AT THE END. And I’m NOT kidding.
Suffice to say, I was rather sleepy when I first entered the cinema but almost immediately into the start of the movie, I was jostled awake. This is due to the riveting action scene that starts off in the movie where the detective and the unidentified killer faces off for the first time. But don’t worry, the action parts are perfectly balanced out so you don’t get too overwhelmed(: In fact, there are a couple of hilarious/comical relief, some violent (don’t learn okay!), and of course, really touching scenes in between. But on a general note, the story unfolds wonderfully and there is never a dull moment because you are always expecting…what’s next now?
So prepare yourself for excellent and adrenaline filled choreographed action scenes such as the fights and high speed car chases, and you will find yourself rooting for Detective Choi (Jung Jae-Young) as he goes all out to catch the murderer. Most importantly, at the end of it all, you will be all out trying to FIGURE OUT WHO THE REAL MURDERER IS. Oh and also, there are THE TWISTS in the stories, ahhhh oh my gosh, just talking about it – this movie is FULL of them and the worst thing is that..you will never.expect.it.
Yeah, Crystal (the bestie who I invited to watch the movie with) and I honestly never expected the movie to turn out this way. She was guessing weird stuff HAHAHAH like..- one of the fan girls in the movies played a big part. (But no, honestly, she was really just a fan girl)
Well, the only main spoiler I have for this movie is this:
The statute of limitations plays a HUGE part in this movie(:
And now, a few of scenes/stills in this movie to share:

It DELIVERS!
