The headlines of The New Paper immediately caught my attention. Gosh, I really love reading it because there’s so many interesting news articles in there. Anyway, this was the headlines:

A former primary school teacher who had a sexual relationship with her pupil confessed to her pastor and reported herself to the police, a district court heard on Monday.
The 32-year-old married mother of three, who faced six charges, admitted on Monday to two counts of having sex with the 13-year-old student in Sembawang Park in May 2011 and at her home two months later. She was charged in December last year.
The court heard on Monday that she and the victim became attracted to each other in March 2011 and they began sending each other SMS messages until late at night. Sometime in April, they went for a movie at Northpoint Shopping Centre in Yishun. That was the start of their relationship when they confessed their love for each other.
In late May, they went to Sembawang Park and had sex for the first time. They had sex two more times at an unknown HDB block in Choa Chu Kang Loop in late May and in June. They agreed to break off after the June incident but a day before school re-opened, they patched up.
Sounds pretty normal for a couple to call each other that right? But..honestly, not when the two parties involved are 32 and 13 respectively! And the worst thing is that, usually you would think that it would be the older male teacher x younger female student right?

How it all started (Picture Summary) from The New Paper:
1. The boy asks the teacher to teach him how to kiss. She says she can show him how. After watching a movie sometime in April 2011, they kiss on the rooftop of a shopping centre. Later, she ‘french kisses’ him in a taxi.
2. About a month later, they go to Sembawang Park after school and have unprotected sex in a shelter. It was the boy’s first time.
3. In July, he becomes jealous after learning she had taken two classmates out for lunch without him. He throws her water bottle at her in front of his classmates.
4. He later apologizes for his behaviour. But when she tells him she is scared of him, he scolds her and punches her on the arm in front of his classmates.
The bf and my reaction/comments to this news:
1. We can’t fathom the ‘connection’/’attraction’ between the teacher and the student. Especially because of the huge age difference. Plus..when you think about it. 13 years old is REALLY young especially because boys don’t really mature till at a later age ;p
2. The bf still doesn’t get why she would go for a 13 year old boy who is young enough to be her own son!
3. Teacher = cougar!
4. Boy = Future abusive and jealous type boyfriend!
