Recently, I was approached by an online accessories shop owner, Chloe to do an advertorial for her shop – Impulse. At first, I was a little hesitant as my own shop, GlamPuss is also selling accessories as well, but after checking out Impulse, I could tell that we were going in a different directions.

I am always interested to know the background of all the shops that I do an advertorial/review for, so I asked the lovely owner of Impulse, Chloe to share with me about a little more about herself , how and why Impulse was started.

Q: When was Impulse started?
November 2012

Q: What made you decided to start Impulse?

I was buying accessories from this particular supplier of mine (for myself) and thought that the quality is really quite good. Moreover, I saw a lot of other blogshops selling the same things at 2x or even 3x more. Therefore, I hope to be able to provide affordable yet chic accessories to girls out there.

I feel really passionate about bring quality accessories to my customers. Every item is handpicked by me carefully after observing the prevalent fashion trends. I strive to bring in the most trendy and value for money accessories for my customers.

I am currently in my final year in NUS. Starting and managing this online shop gives me a very good experience, allowing me to know more about running a business, dos and don’ts in customer service and so on. It also gives me an immense sense of self satisfaction when I see the good reviews left by my customers. I believe this experience will be very useful to me in the future if I were to start another business venture of a grander scale.

Q: So how do you plan about bringing in trendy and high quality products as you mentioned?
We get quite a lot of our products from the manufacturing factories of ASOS, Forever 21, Topshop, H&M etc. So, they can get high quality accessories from us at a fraction of their original prices.

Well, so far, I was pretty impressed with what she shared with me (as seen above) and I can really feel her passion to bring in handpicked and quality accessories to us girls!(:

Oh and Chloe gave me a choice of 3 different types of accessories to review on so let’s take a look at what I’ve received shall we? Oh, I have to mention, I was SUPER spoiled for choice as I really liked many of the accessories available! Also, it was a joy to converse with her via our numerous email conversations.

Chloe sent out my items on the 29th of January via registered mail and within the next day, I received the package! That’s how prompt her delivery was!

Yeah, so I got home after my omy.sg Domino’s Pizza Blogger Event and I was really excited to open it! Everything was wrapped nicely and securely with bubble wrap as seen.

And I realized, instead of 3 items, I received 4 items!(: How super generous and thoughtful of her! That’s because one of them was a piece that I mentioned was cute during our email conversations. Thanks alot Chloe!(:

So one of my favourite pieces is this connected leaf hair accessory, item no: H0001. As mentioned, it’s actually supposed to be a headband / hair accessory but it can also be worn as a necklace as well as you can see in the pictures(: The quality is pretty decent and actually I was afraid the band might snap, but it didn’t when I wore it as a headband!

The second accessory I selected is this geometric statement triangle necklace, Item No N0002 in Orange. Yeah, it’s one of the current necklace trends which I favor. I actually preferred the one in mint green, but it was OOS at that moment, but oh well, I like this as well. Most of my clothes are black anyway, so the orange will really pop when I’m wearing it! Quality is decent as well(:

Generally, I don’t really wear bracelets but when I saw this Mr Mustache bracelet, Item No B0024, I knew I had to get my hands on it! I’ve never seen this bracelet being sold in Singapore or from my supplier at all, and I really love how dainty and pretty this piece is!(: Quality is decent, but like all accessories, you have to take care of them properly(:

The last item I received was a surprise as I mentioned that this vintage carousel necklace, Item No N0033 was adorable during the many email conversations I had with Chloe. So imagine my surprise when I saw it in my package!(: It was a little bit bigger than I expected but I really dig it! It’s so cute, love the quality and vintage feel and I keep playing with it – yeah, the horses shake when you shake the necklace XD

*shakes shakes shakes*

On the whole, I love all the accessories that I received from Impulse! Best of all, they are both TRENDY and SUPER AFFORDABLE(: I also like how prompt delivery was as well, and how all enquiries are answered promptly and quickly on her Qoo10 shop and emails. Best all of, what you see, is what you get! So be rest assured when buying from Impulse!
